Thomas A Herald

Thomas Herald began his legal career working for a prominent defense firm in Houston and then moving to the Dallas area in 1992 where he concentrated his practice on defending companies and people in cases for insurance companies involving catastrophic injury or death. He has dedicated the last seven years of his career helping injured victims and families get the compensation they deserve.
For ten years I represented the insurance companies and defended the companies. I saw how they operate and how they try to avoid being held accountable for their actions that seriously injure and damage others. That experience gives me an edge. It is like reading their playbook. It helps me to focus on finding and developing facts that I know the insurance companies will focus on in evaluating my client's case.
Montes Herald Law Group, L.L.P. is a small firm with a big footprint. The firm's practice includes a wide range of cases: burn injuries, explosion incidents, traumatic brain injuries, work-place negligence, spinal cord injuries, drunk driving cases, car wrecks, 18 wheeler accidents, homeowners claims, uninsured motorist and underinsured motorist claims, hazing incidents and many others.
My fundamental approach to a case is to get to know each client on a personal level and to try to prepare each case as though it is going to go to trial from day one. Cases that are truly prepared for trial usually get the best results. At trial, Tom Herald uses state of the art trial techniques and technology to present his case. We focus on people. When I meet my client. I am learning his or her story and I am envisioning picking a jury, presenting an opening statement, cross examining witnesses and presenting a powerful closing argument to explain why my client deserves to be compensated for the negligence and reckless acts of others.
I am proud of the fact that the majority of my cases are referred to me by other attorneys. I believe that this shows that other lawyers have confidence in my skills and abilities, and the results that I get for my clients. I believe it also shows that other lawyers know that I am no stranger to the courtroom. He has tried over 100 jury cases to a trial verdict. His approach has enabled his clients to recover millions of dollars in compensation, but more importantly, his approach to settling cases has lead to many companies and organizations agreeing to adopt safety policies that benefit everyone in the long run.
Thomas Herald is or has been a member of the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, Dallas Trial Lawyers Association, Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association and the Christian Lawyers Association.
